A world
ruled by law,
not force
Has been the World Jurist Association’s mission since its
founding in 1963. The WJA was formed in response to an
international outcry for a free and open forum where judges,
lawyers, law professors and other professionals from around
the world could work cooperatively to strengthen and expand
the Rule of Law and its institutions throughout the world.

The World Jurist Association works to build a world ruled by law, not force.
We do this by convening and connecting judges, lawyers, academics,
institutions, and leaders who are committed to strengthening the Rule of
Law and protecting human dignity worldwide.
Our impact is only possible through our partners and supporters. Whether
by co-organizing events such as the World Law Congress, supporting legal
innovation, hosting dialogues on key rule-of-law challenges, or helping
amplify our mission, there are many meaningful ways to collaborate with us.
